Manually operated ladle lifting hoist giving a maximum lift of 610mm (24")
The geared racking hoist is intended for a safe working load of 1000Kg (2200lb), and is tested to 25% overload.
When used in conjunction with the Cornwall ladle, the casting operation can be performed by one man, leading to efficient production, and a lowering of labour costs.
High efficiency, machine cut, spur gears operated by a large diameter hand wheel are enclosed within the gearbox, and the spindles rotate in precision ball bearings.
A one-way automatic brake is fitted which allows free rotation when lifting but creates proportional resistance to the load when lowering.
Suspension is from a rotary type hook, whilst the bottom of the rack is suitably arranged to carry the yoke of the ladle or sling when carrying a moulding box.
The raised movement is 610mm (24") as standard, however adjustable side straps allow the racking hoist to be set for monorails set at different heights.
