Lip Axis transfer ladle for 1000Kg Aluminium

Lip Axis Transfer ladle used for the transportation of 1000Kg Aluminium from the bulk melting furnaces to any of several holding furnaces. The ladle is mounted in a motorised frame and moves around on an overhead monorail system. The ladle is tilted by two hydraulic rams and can be raised in the carrying frame 1.5M by another hydraulic ram. The ladle frame is suspended off the monorail via two articulated motorised trolleys. The trolley motors are inverter controlled to give soft start/stop plus variable speed control. The ladle carrier is also fitted with an infra red anti collision system that in the event of two ladle carriers driving towards each other, will first slow the carrier speed down and then, if the units are get within 2M, will cut the drive motors and apply the brakes.The hydraulic tilting action of the ladle is controlled via a proportional valve to give variable pouring rates.
