Shakeout decks

The FMS Type E.F Shakeout offers a continuous duty self-discharging shakeout, for high production moulding lines. With a bespoke deck to suit your specific application a variable stroke pattern provides maximum cleaning with minimum casting damage. With a variable speed for infinitely adjustable rate of casting travel the type EF range is available up to 2.5m wide and 10m long with a single drive unit.

The FMS Type E.V Shakeout offers an extra heavy duty non-discharging shakeout for large heavy castings and moulding boxes, including ingot moulds. With a straight line vertical stroke and a totally enclosed oil splash lubricated vibrator, single units have a load capacity of up to 80 tons. For extra deck area dual and quad units are also available.

The FMS Non-Discharging Shakeout is designed for use in moulding practice which requires a high dependability and versatility for shakeout of heavy flasks and mixed flask sizes. This model is ideal in jobbing foundries for medium to heavy production applications.

Cranes, conveyors, or lift vehicles are easily utilised for loading flasks and unloading castings and flasks from these units. Sand collection can be accomplished by scoop equipped vehicles or conveyors. The sturdy horizontal deck will easily withstand the impact of flasks; the extra thick deck on the standard unit providing years of service.

Standard unit capacities range from 20 - 100 tons, with deck sizes ranging from 2.4m x 2.4m - 3.6m x 4.2m.
