FMS have recently supplied, installed and commissioned a bespoke handling project for CDS to work in conjunction with their cooling chamber, CDS approached FMS to assist with a solution for handling high-temperature crucibles around an automated line to include 2 x bespoke hydraulic lowering stations to allow operator intervention at pre-determined positions.
The system included a fully automated Mitsubishi PLC system to take control of the CDS cooling chamber along with compliant interlocks within the full perimeter guarding system which was also supplied and installed by FMS.
